Born from inspiration: the spark of an idea
The Future Founders Business Fair started at home. Watching my own kids come up with creative ideas, make things, and get excited about the possibility of selling them made me realize how powerful these experiences can be. Kids naturally think like entrepreneurs—they just need the opportunity.
I wanted to create something for our community in Auburn, Indiana, where kids could take those ideas and turn them into something real. A place where they could try, learn, make mistakes, and grow—all while building confidence and having fun. The Future Founders Business Fair is about giving kids that chance and showing them what they’re truly capable of.
We’re also proud to be an officially approved Acton Children’s Business Fair, which connects our event to a larger network dedicated to inspiring young entrepreneurs around the world.
Our goals: cultivating confidence and skills
My biggest hope is that every child walks away feeling proud of what they created and more confident in themselves. I want them to see that their ideas have value and that they are capable of bringing something to life from start to finish.
Beyond that, we hope they gain real-world skills—like managing money, communicating with others, problem-solving, and thinking creatively. But even more importantly, we want them to experience what it feels like to try something new, take ownership, and grow from the experience—whether everything goes perfectly or not.
If they leave thinking, “I can do this,” then that’s a huge win for us all.
